How many trees can make an exciting display in Window Boxes
Its incredible, but a little known fact is that trees grow well and are easy to maintain in the window boxes.
Tender trees are grown in warmer regions, where they remain outdoors all year. In colder areas, such as container subjects, they need shelter in winter. As a group, are popular with both southern and northern gardeners.
Acacias. Many types of acacia trees are prized for their flowers of yellow feathers in winter and spring. Fast growing, requiring a cool greenhouse or plant room in the North in winter.
Bullbay Magnolia. An evergreen magnolia very ornate, very grown up in the south, with large dark green leaves and large fragrant white flowers. Where non-resistant, container plant more worthwhile.
California Pepper Tree. A small tree pendant semi with fernlike, olive green leaves and clusters long-term suspension, pink berries. A native of Peru, who stand the heat and dryness, soil, even the poor, as well as severe pruning. Most planted as a street tree in southern Europe.
Citrus. Tree with glossy leaves with small fragrant flowers and decorative fruits lasting. Orange, lemon, kumquat, tangerine, lemon, and others do well in tubs and boxes. The dwarf or orange Tahiti Tahiti and Ponderosa lemon are little guys.

Pacific Madrone (menziesi unedo). An attractive evergreen broadleaf with fragrant, heathlike, white flowers in panicles six inches of overcoming large leaves, bright. Chocolate brown as the resulting tree bark plane. Difficult to move, plants are best transplanted seedlings under eighteen inches.
