Chord Calling
Is it appropriate to call anything with more or less than three notes of a chord?

As Middle East C and E played together. What are these calls?

Okay, people – this is definitive: A chord is a combination of three or more notes DISCREET – that is, three kinds of different heights. Two notes do not make a chord, although there may be an implicit from the context. So – less than three notes? No. More than three notes? Yes EDIT: The website that gave us Lewis is simply wrong to say that a line can consist of two notes. Simply not true. AC and E may involve a LOT of different harmonies and requires a context for harmony to determine what is being implied. Draciron, the term "Power Chord" is unique in the jargon of this kind of music. A power cable is more than one fifth the air. It is an interval not a chord. The asker needs to know a strict theoretical definition, which is supplied. Thumbs down, however, my answer is correct. G.
