If the truth must be told, the idea of a truly democratic system existing anywhere is a farce. Democracy is an idealism in the same way that they could say that perfectionism is an idealism. Idealism is always born of the aspiration to achieve a better state, so it can be said to be on (the premise is quite simple understand without going into the philosophy of Hegel and Kant). The principles of democracy ideally involve all equally participate and benefit equally in a political system. The reality is the opposite of incessant politicking there (at exorbitant costs!) To the State. If Britain and America with centuries of practice have not done well, not surprising that Nigeria is not right either! This is not supposed to agree with what is happening in Nigeria, where the brand of democracy is out of this world. It indigenised and confusing. The principle of democracy is a noble! Its implementation on the other side is prone to error. Can the practice of â € ~ Democracy € ™ is really a â € ~ do or IDEA Case ™ €? The main deviation the noble ideals of democracy is caused by greed and corruption. Altruism, utilitarianism, egalitarianism, are principles we share common roots in the ideology democracy. Unfortunately, the whole concept has been affected by politics, fighting for position to fulfill personal ambitions (Hillary in the saga of Obama) abuse of trust peoplesâ € ™ (corruption of elected public officials in Nigeria and Britain) and a waste of public money. The residues associated with the practice of democracy is horrendous. There is too much focus on the creation of the office structures, parastatal agencies, parastatals, etc democracy in its modern form has become so difficult and burdened by bureaucracy, but has been overtaken by structuralism. This is hard to take your eyes off the goal! What then is the end game? Again, as already stated this is relative. In Nigeria or in any developing country in Africa, the endgame is to develop, education, health, food, housing and the list goes on. Many years after Nigeria's independence remains on the drawing board! What are so-called â € ~ Democracy Dividend € ™, a phrase we've all grown accustomed to? Definitely isnâ € ™ t rhetoric endless that you hear in a never-ending basis.
